Which is better really there is no contest but i'm just interested in who's modern (21st century) or the old fasioned (20th century).

DVDs are great because of all the extra features, more space for recordings, less storage needed on your shelf..etc
But VHS is easily better, they're cheaper to buy and it's more common for people to have one of these other than a DVD player, so you can watch your favourite movies at a mates house..etc.
My mates are into movies but only one of them has a DVD player and thats on his PC, I can't imagine a load of his mates crowded around his 15" monitor.
