Not really, since I don't own a laptop, and resent people who do (ala my friend, but he only has one because his PC was stolen)
-DVD-
+Double the Resolution of VHS
+Choice of 4:3 or 16:9
+Subtitle Options (No decoder required like VHS)
+Audio languages and Commantary
+Amazing Sound Quality, expecially in 5:1
+Interactive Menu's
+Special Features
+Clear Pause
+Chapters
+No Rewinding Required after use
+Easy to find a certain part of the disc
-Turn the player off halfway through a film you loose your place.
-Readable Only
-Jump at Layer Transision
VHS
+doesn't loose your place (I wish some DVD players had a memory function or sommin)
+Recordable
-Restricted to Stereo Sound
-Reasonable Quality but compared to DVD, Pants!
-A Dying Format
So there you have it the only thing keeping VHS head above water is it's recording. As soon as an affordable DVD Recorder comes out maybe with a DVB reciever built in (so you can make the most of the high quality) then VHS is dead and buried :-)

So there you have it the only thing keeping VHS head above water is it's recording. As soon as an affordable DVD Recorder comes out maybe with a DVB reciever built in (so you can make the most of the high quality) then VHS is dead and buried :-)
(people with laptops will know what I mean)
That sounded a bit upper class to me :)
Sorry, yes I was calling Smoking Gun's a tart.
Silly people just saying "DVD is obviously better" and not giving any reason, silly.
VHS is tried and tested, in Media class, you don't try editing a DVD on your first lesson..no, everyone has a VHS player, renting them from Blockbuster's is cheaper, they make better weapons than silly DVDs and so on.
Other than that, DVDs rule, and I haven't bought a video since we got our DVD player late last year
