2. There is no red number in brackets (lately white number in brackets). This is a very sad situation. Unfortunately it was muscled off the top bar to make way for "walkthroughs". We surely need to find a little space for it somewhere.

The problem is that newbies don't get any respect from most of (not all of) the regulars. Fair enough their are a large percentage of newbies that do nothing but churn out useless nonsense, but it seems a bit unfair that the rest of us get lumped in with them. I think that genuine users are being scared off by this.
*winge for the day* :)
Bimbo
Maybe I should have posted this on a different forum, like"SR site bugs and GAD"?
I reckon the entire chat forums is because people either loss interest, or perhaps they're unaware of them. When I first came to the site, I saw the banner saying how to win a free game, and knowing the internet, everything seems to be a con. Although, this one did turn out to be so, you still can't help thinking it will be. I think during the ads you perhaps need to mention Special Reserve in them, as it makes people more willing to come to a site, which is owned by a big company.
You go to Sony.com and see a competition, you know that someone will win, but you know it'll never be you. You come to gameaday.co.uk and you know that hundreds of others have won, and that you can't. You stay on gameaday and try. You win. You come back to gameaday and you know hundreds of others have won, and that you can.
Stick the red text where ever you like its your site.
I wonder why too why people dont come and chat more I am trying to get my mate to come on so maybe he will soon. Maybe though its either people dont have the time or simply dont realise its there ie they are to busy ordering stuff. Why not put a big sign when you haveordered like "now you have ordered if you can spare the time please sign on and come to chat with us. Ofcourse it could be the idiots putting people off too.
> Maybe we should run a Newbieaday competition.
the only problem is your going to attract every spammer this side of yahoo chat.
Wild finger pointing at newbies, coupled with excitable jumping and down until they get tired and go off to talk about Big Brother.

Where old farts reminisce about how much better it was when there were 9 regs and it were all but grass round 'ere. Most old timey post wins. Golden Rhino, where for art thou?
*laughs*
How about an introduce-a-friend-a-day competition?
You join up, with a box on the registration form with "Who recommended this site to you?" and the person with most namechecks after a week/month wins?
Or just offer The Erotic Witch Project to each newbie over 18 (if you can prise them out of Snuggly's eager and vaguely menacing grasp)
Jesus, 2:10 am and I'm still up.
Meh
> Maybe we should run a Newbieaday competition.
I think that could go horibbly ( sp? forgot how to spell this) wrong.
It's bloody addictive (in a non-harmfu way, not like when Zammo chased the dragon and got burned).
And go download "Tear" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
