No matter how good of a invester you are, any shares you have at the moment you have probably lost money. I have anyways :(
I could have sold my HBOS shares for £8.50 a few months ago but now they are about £5.50 :(
Could be a really good time to invest at the moment...Anybody got any good tips?
Was only really thinking along the lines of getting it towards the payment of a new car...

I wouldnt worry too much, i would think you should still be eligible for at least £1500.
But a word of advice, i wouldnt take out the loan unless you really need to.

Ye, i have a job. Only part-time though. Earning about £3000 a year.

Yep you can get a loan. Although the amount that you will be allowed to borrow will be affected by your current income (if you have a job) and your current savings.
I even make sure I catch the opening Bell ring at wall street at Half 2 everyday...
I best spend my money before I make a stupid investment...
Thinking of getting a new Corsa SXi... 3 years 0% Apr finance deal :)
Oh, and does anyone know under what circumstances your allowed a student loan? I'll be going UNI in September but will be living at home, am i still allowed to get one of those interest free loans?

I also see they have signed a contract in Germany, introducing the technology later this year. It was 34.5p at close, i think i may give this a look.
The natural trend of the market over the long term is too rise. Around this time last year I bought some shares for 59p each, now they're 25.
But I know that if I hang on to them for 3-5 years, then I'll make some money.
Finishing up at a 6 year low :(
