You gotta take bias into account though. Even if I tried to be impartial I'd still say that the PS2 was the better console due to number of games available and due for it, price of consoles and games, number of people that play it (so you've got more people to talk to about games etc.,), the way it sits there like an unobtrusive shoebox on your shelf so you hardly notice it, the way Sony plan to provide upgrades for it in the future and so on.

But then you have to consider that I've owned Sony Playstation as well since launch and have got used to their style, I like the type of games that they publish, I'm used to the controller layout, and so on.

Any Nintendo fan will say the same thing going from N64 to Gamecube.

I bought an XBox due to Halo, but I have to admit that it's ONLY due to Halo, there's not many other exciting games out there for me yet for Microsoft's console, although the ones that ARE out look visually stunning due to the XBox's superior specs when compared to the PS2.

What I'll probably do is concentrate more on PS2 games for now, but if Microsoft manage to produce another 10/10 game or make online gaming a financial reality before the end of the year I may switch over to that as my main console. At the moment it just sits in the corner with my Dreamcast gathering dust until I feel like playing Halo or Skies of Arcadia.

In the end it's down to what you feel you like playing gameswise. For me, PS2 has more than enough great games to keep my joypad busy for a good few years yet. The XBox doesn't.

well keep them coming in cause i wanna really know which is actually better to the players of the different computers, and it looks like playstation2 has the edge, unless some one can come in and make a discussion
