I've just been looking through the latest XBM mag and its nice to see that the console has plenty of exclusives lined up despite losing a few recently. :-)

Can't wait for all these games to come out ! Christmas should be excellent and 2003 is set to bring some superb titles out on the console. Project Ego in particular can't come soon enough for me. :-)

At the moment I am seraching for the actual release dates of all the Xbox titles due out in the next year and a half, so far I have got:

Hunter The Reckoning (5/7/2002)
Bruce Lee: Quest For The Dragon (1/8/2002)
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (9/8/2002)
Unreal Championship (1/9/2002)
The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind (27/9/2002)
Colin McRae Rally 3 (27/9/2002)
WWF Raw is War (1/10/2002)
Medal of Honour: Frontline (1/11/2002)
Metal Gear Solid Substance (November 2002)
Turok Evolution (6/9/2002)
Operation Flashpoint (November 2002)
Shenmue 2 (November 2002)
Dead To Rights (October 2002)
SWAT: Global Strike Team (November 2002)
Soul Calibur 2 (December 2002)
Blade 2 (December 2002)
Tom Clancys Splinter Cell (November 2002)
Tom Clancys Ghost Recon (December 2002)

And to be honest they will all be amazing! Not so long a go I read a post by a Ninty saying how naff Buffy would be, I didn't take much notice up until I read all the Buffy previews and this game looks like it is going to score very highly! Read the latest one of GameSpy.

I disagree big time with that comment mate. For a start MGS Substance is coming to X-Box so owners of the console won't be missing out there. GTA is a great game series, but its not the be and end all of games. Medal of Honour is also coming to X-Box and if you want a few big titles to rival the others (including a few that will be shared with either PS2 or GC), heres a few.....

Soul Caliber
Halo 2
Project Ego (an RPG with more depth than Final Fantasy games)
Star Wars Jedi Knight 2
Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars Galaxies
Mech Assault
Steel Battalion
Splinter Cell
Blinx
Counter Strike
Deus Ex 2
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Toejam & Earl 3
Colin Mcrae 3
BC
Turok Evolution
Duality
Operation Flashpoint
Brute Force
Shenmue 2
Phantasy Star Online 2
Psychonauts
Hitman 2
Ninja Gaiden
Midtown Madness 3
Tao Feng : Fist of the Lotus
LMA Manager (not a massive title but will sell well here)
Tony Hawks 4

I'd say those tend to be some of the stand out titles that will do well. If I was going purely on what I think are excellent titles, the list would be a lot bigger. I'm not going to be going out and buying Tony Hawks 4, but some tend to think of that as a major title on any format so I added it.

Cyclone, I have updated my list and made it UK specific!

You said that the PS2 has great titles like GTA Vice City, isn't that the only good game coming out on PS2 this year? Tekken 4 will be good but then again DOA4 is due out on the Xbox in the next year! Great titles like:

Hunter The Reckoning (5/7/2002)
Bruce Lee: Quest For The Dragon (1/8/2002)
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (9/8/2002)
Unreal Championship (1/9/2002)
The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind (27/9/2002)
Colin McRae Rally 3 (27/9/2002)
WWF Raw is War (1/10/2002)
Medal of Honour: Frontline (1/11/2002)
Metal Gear Solid Substance (November 2002)
Turok Evolution (6/9/2002)
Operation Flashpoint (November 2002)
Shenmue 2 (November 2002)
Dead To Rights (October 2002)
SWAT: Global Strike Team (November 2002)
Soul Calibur 2 (December 2002)
Blade 2 (December 2002)
Tom Clancys Splinter Cell (November 2002)
Tom Clancys Ghost Recon (December 2002)

Don't get me wrong but aren't they all amazing titles due out this year? There are more to come that will score highly, but these games should break the 85% mark at least! (Elder Scrolls already got 94% from IGN and Hunter has scored over 80% in the 11 reviews I have read). Although a couple of them are multi platform so far I feel that the Xbox has by far delivered the best version of all the multi platform games available.

And on top of that, so-called triple AAA titles aren't the be-all and end-all of gaming - less fashionable games are often better and more unique.
I prefer Rez to MGS2, Jet Set Radio Future to Tony Hawks 3.

I find this opinion naive.

Like the GameCube, the XBOX has [at this point in time] a small selection of games with a handful of great games [Halo, PGR, JSRF, DOA3, Oddworld] - and why do you think that is? .... It's because the XBOX [and GameCube] are "brand new consoles"!
What did the PS2 have after 2 to 3 months?

Let's put it this way: the XBOX and GameCube have had much better games available at and just after launch than the PS2 did.
Comparing the games currently available on the XBOX to what's currently available on the PS2 is ridiculous. The PS2 is 2 years old for god's sake!

There will be 200 games available on the XBOX by Christmas, and there will be many quality titles on offer, as well as a lot of exclusives.
And I'm sure the same will be true of the GameCube.

Unreal Championship
Medal Of Honour Frontline
Black and White Next Genaration
Commandos 2
Colin Macrae Rally 3
Halo 2
Morrowind

Just a list of a few good games that are coming (from the top of my head, theres LOADS more coming)
