I owned Hunter, returned it because it was faulty and now I want it back! I think that says something about how addictive the gameplay is.

If I see it on the cheap, i'll get it again.

i am a member of special reserve...BUT the reason why i occassionally buy from high street shops is because i can trade in games to exchange for new ones...i can get the game instantly without having to wait...and should i not like it i can return it.

by the time i reached the last boss i had around 50 lives :D

how the hell did you get 25 lives man!? i know you save an innocent and you get an extra life but there's not that many people shaking on the floor :S

i'm there too. rescued the 5 then have 10 seconds to get to the lift...i didn't get there :|

It was just something I thought should have been put in. Considering one of the little captions inbetween loading says that over 70,000 man hours went into making the game, I would have thought thats plenty of time to make them think "hey, this will give players more out of the game".

Not gonna take it back or anything cause I like the game. But like you said, would have been nice to build characters up then play through the game with a friend, kicking zombies around like they're nothing. ;-)

oh that's somewhat disappointing...it would have been good to carry on your characters in nightmare mode...or level up a different character so that when you play in coop you can have two kick-a*s characters romping through the levels
i'm actually half tempted to return it cos i don't REALLY feel it's worth the 40 quid...

Well I managed to beat the last boss earlier. :-) Started another game as the Avenger guy now. I won't ruin the last boss for you all but trust me on this - keep a fully charged chainsaw at the ready for the occasion. ;-)

If theres something thats a little disappointing to me its that you can't keep building up a character. It doesn't save when you beat the game and everytime you start a new game you start a character from scratch. It would have been nice to play through as the Judge again and build the stats up to full. :-) Still a damn good game though and I want to beat it with the other 3 characters. :-)

Looking forward to trying the co-op game too. :-)

There's plenty of fun to be had as you plough your way through hoardes of the undead -

True

from your standard lunging zombie types to mysterious giant teddy bears (which are evil, of course.).

Zombies there are lots of, there are also exploding spiders, vampires, skeletons ghosts and all.
The teddy bear is a boss character, it's harder than it sounds.

However, all of the hacking and slashing does tend to get a bit repetetive despite a few varients on the central., level-claering objectives being thrown in.

Thats true, repetive, but not boring in my opinion. You can use melee weapons, various guns and magic to defeat enemies, and your skills improve as the game progreses. What is means by varients iswhile moving from A to B clearing enimies, you mights also have to rescue innocents, be a bodygaurd to a little girl or find several things like keys and stuff.

The four-player multiplayer is okay but you are limited to the confines of the immediate area and the screen gets extremely crowded.

I played 3 player and it was a good laugh. Everyone has to work as a team.

Whilst far from an outstanding title it is worth a look for an evening or two.

There is repay is you look at my post down the page a bit. I had it for 2 days and I was only half way through. You could always buy it, complete it and bring it back. :)
