Got through to the Gran Turismo mode.
Oh my god!
It's so boring... you can opnly afford a crap car so you must race in races that you can't win... your car handles like the Dodo ion GTA3. The licences are the most boring things ever and I keep getting stuck... the game won't allow me any real cars or real races unless I win rock hard races or unlock rock hard Licences.

The International-A license and Special license are tough, but you can enter a ton of races without them.
The thing with the GT series is that they don't give you all the goodies straight away, you have to earn them.
Trust me, it's worth persevering with to get the better cars. It gets a lot quicker and a lot more fun. Also, you don't earn much money at first, but once you get towards the end of the beginner leagues, there's a series of races that gives you 75,000 credits per tournament win. It soon mounts up, and you'll be able to buy much better cars.
