I just brought GT3 today...

Popped it in the PS2.

Got through to the Gran Turismo mode.

Oh my god!

It's so boring... you can opnly afford a crap car so you must race in races that you can't win... your car handles like the Dodo ion GTA3. The licences are the most boring things ever and I keep getting stuck... the game won't allow me any real cars or real races unless I win rock hard races or unlock rock hard Licences.

I agree. Gran Turismo is pretty bad. I prefer Crazy Taxi where you can just burn it about doin nothing much. Gran Turismo's graphics etc are good but its a wee bit boring. Bring back Road Rash I say! :)

The tests are difficult because they're such a drag to complete... I mean, what's so fun in completing tests on how to drive accurately?

I've done B and A, and they were BORING.

I've changed my mind about GT3 now. I was just hooked on it for an hour or so.

Good stuff.

I cant beleive a lover of Final Fantasy (Asher) actually feels that GT3 is annoying because the game takes along time to get into. FF takes ages to get into but thats the magic about it. Theres loads of stuff to unlock in each game and really they are very similar except one is racing and one is adventure.

I found the tests a doddle and I got all gold in all tests fairly easily. I remember getting the Suzuki Escudo car fairly easily and from there clean a lot more races. I'll try and find out how.

Agreed, they were cr@p for the psx but they were good on the megadrive, so a decent update would go down quite well.

I think all racing games are bland and top of the list, linear. There's not been a decent racing game since Road Rash... Bring back Road Rash plz thx!

I think it's so boring. It started out well enough, but then after a while I just couldn't be bothered anymore.

However, I did get reasonably far in GT mode. I think. I couldn't do the Special License but I did all the others and I did all the tournaments in Amateur and pretty much all of them in the next one and a few in the next. Never even bothered with endurance and couldn't be bothered to spend 500 grand on that good rally car or 22 grand on rally tyres.

I got myself a Special Castrol Tom Supra but soon after my purchase, I stopped playing it. I found that when Is tarted to play it and get into it, it was quite fun but thinking about it was boring enough to kill me! That meant that I rarely loaded it up and I haven't done for a good few months.

It never matched MSR for me.

I think you have to really be interested in the genre of motor racing to appreciate GT3. It could seem boring to someone who ins'nt really keen on racing, but to someone like me, who is really into motor racing, it is interesting. I enjoy starting with a car that allows you to race closely to the other cars in the race, it may not be the fastest or coolest car in the game but it means the race is more interesting, I dont enjoy a race if I am winning by about 10 seconds, I like to be racing at the same pace as the other cars, its more fun that way in my opinion. Also the handling depends on the way the cars are set up, and as I used to work in a garage, I know what most of the settings mean and can appreciate that the handling represents the way the car should handle.
I found that the liscenses are actually pretty easy, compared to the other GT games. I have passed all of the liscenses with a bronze apart from the B and A liscenses where I passed most of them with a gold or silver.
Admitedly, I didnt find the rewards in the game to be all that good though, sure you get loads of money, but most of the cars you win, you can buy them anyway, apart from a few.
Overall though I found the game good, I am almost 75% complete and have enjoyed all of it, but if you aint a big racing fan you may not find it so interesting.
