So even though Bill Gates and the people responsible aren't putting out games, there are developers owned by Microsoft and third party developers that are.
And whats all this about PS2 reciving most of X-Box's line up ? If anything, I think Microsoft are grabbing some of the PS2's best games while keeping strong titles for itself. You can stamp your feet all you want, the GC doesn't have the same size line up as the X-Box by a long shot over the next year and the PS2 is going to have a tough time trying to sell its hard drive and internet connection seperate for like another £150.
Some will no doubt scream about the likes of Mario Sunshine and Zelda on the way for GC but in my opinion its going to take more than those titles to keep the GC afloat. I certainly don't think they can afford to rely on Rare again along with the Pokemon series.
Of course Resi Evil, Eternal Darkness and eventually Final Fantasy will come to GC too, but what else ? I really don't see much thats appealing coming to GC that isn't going to be on the X-Box.
Not only that, but if Microsoft pull off a winner with X-Box Live and console online gaming becomes popular, then I think Nintendo will be in a lot of trouble when it comes to playing catch up. Sony have online plans but like I said, they have to sell all the extras to the public who probably won't like the idea of spending a load more on top of the £200 - £300 they originally spent. Nintendo's online plans are basically Phanstasy Star Online. A light gun has about the same support as what Nintendo give the idea of online plans. They made a mistake before and that brought Sony into the competiton who then went on to steamroller over Nintendo. Now they are basically sneering at online play and if it takes off, I can't help but wonder if that could end up being the final nail in the coffin.
Nintendo have the home grown titles, but they're going to need a lot more than that. At the moment the line up of games is looking no bigger than the N64's before it and the majority of those games is still the same kind of games as before. As I said, Mario and Zelda is all well and good, but a large number of people want more than this and throwing the occasional Resi Evil game at them is not going to satisfy them. Out of the 3 companies, I'd say its Nintendo that are in the hardest position because Sony have made a lot of sales with their 2 year head start and Microsoft have such a large bank account behind them that they can afford to start off slowly and build on X-Box Live.
Microsoft have shown a lot of determination to succeed on the games market and looking at the ideas they have for the future along with the list of upcoming games, things are looking very impressive. Since the price cut of the console, sales have been picking up as well, so Microsoft are getting more and more to build on. If your so sure of Microsoft failing while the others steam off, then I welcome both of you to add a list on here of all the confirmed games coming to the PS2 and GC, no matter if they're exclusive or multiformat. Do that and I'll be happy to write up a list of the X-Box games and then we'll see whos going "mwahaha" after that.
X-Box designers = blind architects
Which console is better?
Dodgy framerates in the PS2 version eh? What a marvellous extra to have on that version of the game!
I gotta get me a PS2, quickly!
Dingbat!
*explodes in a fit of laughter!*
If the majority of you bothered to get your facts straight instead of licking Billy Gates chocolate-starfish, you'd realise that all version are EXACTLY THE SAME!
I can't remember the chap's name, but G-Force magazine interviewed the bloke in charge of the development team and he said that instead of putting some extras in one version to another, or making one look slightly different to another, each version is to be made exactly the same so there will be NO DIFFERENCES!
If you still don't believe me, then get the latest G-Force magazine with the interview in.
As I said, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT before you post a load of bull like this!

Power means sod all, when it terms of 'how good it will be' - and I've seen a vid from the GC, where its a luscious outdoors jungly scene, with dinosaurs - The GC and PS2 can easily manage outdoor environments!

Meh, I don't really care as long as it turns out to be good.

Nope being made on all 3 at the same time.
At E3 they had all 3 versions. The GC and PS2 were nearly the same with the GC being a bit better. The level was a indoor level. The Xbox then had a nice big wide open outdoor level with dinosaurs running around.
The Xbox version will be the best version of Turok due to its more powerful hardware and its harddisk.
