What about the PS2 then?

Let's look at the evidence, shall we?

1. Sony released updated drivers for the DVD remote. Excuse me?! If UPDATING DRIVERS isn't a PC thing, then I don't know what is!

2. You can buy LINUX for your PS2. This is just beyond belief. You can buy:

Linux (for PlayStation 2) version 1.0 software
Monitor Cable Adaptor
Internal Hard Disc Drive (40 GB)
Network Adaptor (Ethernet) [10/100 Base-T]
USB Keyboard & USB Mouse (for PlayStation 2)

Check out: http://www.us.playstation.com /product_detail/product_detail.jhtml?PRODID =337933&CATID=490 (SPACE!)

if you don't believe me.

Which console is nearest to a PC now, eh?

Tiltawhirl, the majority of games you listed are multiplatform, so I can play them on my big fat Xbox.

I wonder how short the list would be if it was GC Exclusives only... but I don't have the time to look into it. Perhaps you'd like to though?

Easier said than done.

I don't have the time or the money for more than one console, so I got an Xbox. Not only can I play all the third party games (as pretty much ALL third party titles are out on at least two of the three consoles), but I can play PC style games.

Also, most of Sega's games are going to be Xbox exclusive. Panzer Dragoon, Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Crazy Taxi 3 (I think), Gun Valkyrie, House ot Dead 3.

AND other titles that are Xbox exclusive: Project Ego, Unreal Championship etc.

If you're not excited about the Xbox games lineup you're either dead, or Wookiee.

Out of that list you put out Tilt, I saw 5 games I would like to play - 4 of them are coming to X-Box. And please tell me Flintstones wasn't supposed to get me drooling.

I love playing games, played them pretty much all my life. Unfortunatly the company thats supposed to have all this knowledge about games isn't providing me with anything I really want to play. Out of the GC releases, the only game I would like this year thats only on GC is Resident Evil and even going into next year, F-Zero Metroid Prime and Mario Kart (for its multiplayer) are the only three titles so far that really appeal to me.

Sorry but I'll stick with my X-Box thanks.

Yeah, DVD playback was stupid to them too - didn't stop them flocking into a topic about GC being able to play the smaller disks once that mong Carl on that Games Network channel said it could though.

Ninties are picky like that you see. If their console doesn't have a feature or a capability, its just stupid useless crap that Nintendo with all their "wisdom" have left out. One fine arguement I heard recently was that X-Box is stupid and crap cause its big while the GC is great cause it has a handle. Um, yeah ok.

They say this kind of crap, but once you throw a decent arguement back at a good number of them, they stamp their ickle feet and scream in tears that its the games that are important and nothing else. Shame theres a big lack in that department too.

Traded my GC in yesterday, I don't get any fun out of it. All the games on it end up winding me up, I didn't like the controller that much - nice to hold but the button layout and D-pad were pants. Not only that, but I would then come on here and listen to post after post of utter crud and it just made me think "god, I own the same console as these mongs".

I'm not a fanboy, but I'm quick to point out the GC's faults cause I'm sick of hearing the crap that a lot of Ninties spout out all the time. To me all 3 consoles are good in they're own ways. But listening to a lot of Ninties just really kept me thinking of the bad points about the GC until the point that I just didn't want it anymore.

I initially bought the GC for Rogue Leader and it kept me griped for a day or two. But I'd been playing games on my X-Box that were a lot of fun to me so I started seeing little things that disappointed me with the game in the end.

Hellooooo try Pikmin, Metroid Prime, Mario Sunshine, Starfox Adventures, Die Hard, Tony Hawks 4, Animal Crossing, Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness, Timesplitters 2, Turok 4 etc etc. All out before the end of the year, to say there's nothing worth getting for the GC means you're either blind or just stupid.

All these game will be out by the end of the year if there's nothing that intrests you then I really think you should question whether you actually enjoy playing computer games.

Um, no not really. Its a lot easier to stick pre-rendered stuff in, even the PS1 made the graphics to Resident Evil look amazing.
