Let's look at the evidence, shall we?
1. Sony released updated drivers for the DVD remote. Excuse me?! If UPDATING DRIVERS isn't a PC thing, then I don't know what is!
2. You can buy LINUX for your PS2. This is just beyond belief. You can buy:
Linux (for PlayStation 2) version 1.0 software
Monitor Cable Adaptor
Internal Hard Disc Drive (40 GB)
Network Adaptor (Ethernet) [10/100 Base-T]
USB Keyboard & USB Mouse (for PlayStation 2)

Which console is nearest to a PC now, eh?
:-D

What the hell gave you that idea? I really don't mind Nintendo at all.

The only reason Sony are saying this is because all they're intrested in is the power of their consoles, they haven't stopped for one minute and thought that maybe it's the games that matter and not how many polygons and thingumy watsits their console can push around on screen.
Which is perhaps why you're afraid to embrace the new

What exactly does the X-Box bring? other than an almost useless hard-drive and massive plans for online gaming which really are never going to take off in this country. Do you really think it's wise for Microsoft to be putting all its proverbial eggs in one basket? the majority of casual gamers are going to have no intrest in the online plans. UK gamers will have to not only pay broadband fees which is enough money on its own but they will also have to pay Microsoft a monthly subscription.
Which will be handy, cos the lawn's being re-turfed in two months...
:-)
And what about the X-Box? Do you think Microsoft's next console will qualify for a...errrm.....giant slab? They really did have it with the X-Box. It's whether they can keep it for their next console that's the problem!
Just for the record, I own a GC but not an X-Box. Oh and 'X-Box is giant slab for stoopid idiots.'
Wait, I just called it a giant slab myself. Doh! :-D

Errrm....until the PS3 arrives?
I had an N64, and I loved games like PD, Mario Kart and, er... that's about it. But Nintendo aren't going any further with the GC. Except for graphics, where's the improvements? What's the difference?
As the PSX did 8 years ago, the Xbox is pushing the boundaries of how we look at console gaming. Xbox is obviously having an effect, as Sony has already said they may be forced to release the PS3 earlier than expected because of Xbox.
Xbox IS future of gaming. I think that perhaps some of you are scared of change? Which is perhaps why you're afraid to embrace the new features Xbox brings?
*Stirs things up a bit more :-D *
