I've decided that it is better to admire from afar than take your chances with relationships. I learnt today that I was very happy admiring an individual, talking without communication. It was nice, I felt good, and I did intend to just talk probably for ever. It would be nice if I communicated a message and it was accepted, but not high on my list.
I am very shy.
However, I started talking to her about, well it's that time of the summer, so I'll just put: "Stuff". It wasn't "stuff" specifically, just in general. However, I was coaxed into saying much more than I really wanted to, and for a good reason. God I really hate myself for that.
I'm sure you can guess what happened.
So now we're "friends", like so many people are, and it's cripplingly depressing. Women suck. They exist and are unnoticeable like the sun. You can't help but look at them from a long way away and they make you feel warm. Go near them, let on more than you want to and you can't help but say more, in the hope you go through and come out the other side like two films I probably liked far too much. After all, what's the worst that could happen? You could be crushed by them. Well, if you don't try that's going to happen anyway.
Anyway, song's over now.
I'm never going to say anything more than I should to a woman ever again, even if I have to kill myself.
I've been there and it sucks but it does get better, most cases a lot better. Just keep your head up and be the person you are. Don't let it get you down.
Try watching Dead Poets Society if you want a lift, or rather inspiration. But take inspiration from the right bit of it, the carpe diem bit, not the other bit. Which would ruin the plot if I told you.
Good luck anyway, whatever you're hoping to do about your predicament.

But then again, there's always next time. No matter how many times you crash and burn, or just fizzle out, there'll always be a next time.
And hey, female friends, it's not really that bad, once you get past (or in control of) wanting something more with her, you have a friend (and you can never have too many firends), and also a portal into the mysterious mind of the female. Try to understand what's going on, then eventually give up and accept that you'll never really understand at all : )
Oh, and hey, how about that girl you keep running into at the shop, the one with the great hair/legs/bum*...

You're not depressed, you're throwing away experience and the chances that make life special.
So you bombed with her, happens to the best of us dude.
But to retreat into a shell and ignore everyone else is to waste each and every single day you do that.
The only person that can embarass you is yourself, and why the hell would you ever want to do that?
Shrug it off and keep going, trust me, no matter how special you think that person is? If they leave, the next one will seem even more special.
It's how life goes.
Best quote I ever heard was two guys sitting in a pub and a stunning woman walks in, everyone's head turns except for one of the guys.
"You not interested?"
"Nope. Somebody somewhere is already bored of her."
Women can be fun, but you only get out what you put in - so to speak.
