Yep that's right, there's been scores of these starting up, but all have failed. Let's make this thread a place for PC gamers to chat. Post anything you like in here, comments, reviews, but no spam please.

OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)

It is currently at the very top of my 'most wanted' list. I still play the original UT almost every single day, but 2003 is shaping up to be a georgeous game. There are loads more skins, far more intricately detailed maps, and immensely clever AI. The developers are pushing it more towards a sport, having huge UT leagues online. Hence the 2003 moniker. Does that mean that there will be an annual UT release? Let's hope so. :-)

Right then, is anyone looking forward to Unreal Tournament 2003?

I never got the chance to try the first game in multiplayer mode but from the sound of it SOF2 is going to ace at it.

Even if the single player game isn't much cop, the multiplay could be great, just like return to castle wolfenstein which proved this.

I'll soon find out anyway there's only a week left until its release.

Now multi-player with that engine would be a laugh, especially if playing via LAN and not internet.

I'll give the game a look, and might even rent it out to see if it's any cop. But I'm not holding my breath.

From what I've read SOF2 sounds like a good action game, with a bit more variaty thrown in this time. Basically one of the main reasons I want it is because I like action games and despite the first one being a bit dissapointing for me, it was still a fun game to play.

I also thought the origanal ghoul engine was a gimmick that was used to sell the game and over hyped. Anyway I expect the sequel to be more enjoyable, and I am also looking forward to the muliplayer mode, which does sound very promising.

Hmmm, but soldier of fortune wasn't that good. Playing it through once was not only easy, but it was the sort of thing you didn't want to do again.

Basically, you play it through in 2 days max, then you just play around, blowing limbs off for a day or two, and that's it, game over. Waste of cash. I don't expect SOF2 to improve much.

I'm not buying the game for the ghoul 2 engine, i'm buying it because of the gameplay, just like I bought medal of honour for the gameplay.

Some people find blowing chunks out of people entertaining, I prefer a game which will keep me coming back for more regardless of what you can do to NPCs.

I couldn't really care less whether SOF2 has this ghoul 2 engine or not.
