Yeah, it's true.

One was waiting at my bus stop and asked, 'When's the next train?' Which could have easily been a mistake I thought, but he continued to refer to buses as trains with such sayings as, 'What time is the train meant to be here again?' and when it arrived, 'The train is here!' :s
