OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)

I've done that a few times when I've been off playing games in the hope it will ignite the spark again. Fortunately a few months later when I've gone back to playing they've been played to death so I've got my moneys worth.

I tend to go through phases where I'll play a couple of hours a day for a few weeks and then go a few weeks without playing at all.
Don't think I'll be picking up Civ 4 any time soon if that's how complex the last one was! Then again, the Age of Empires Gold manual was massive, but that was mostly explaining about different empires you can command... and that wasn't very complex. And it had some damn funny cheats!

I don't know anything about it at all, but Civ3 stole many, many hours of my life away. Pure awesomeness on a shiny circle.
But it took forever to get the hang of. And the two or three hundred page manual was slightly offputting too.

It sure looks impressive, and quite a step from the other Civ game I have, which happens to be the original from 1992!

Not particularly, though did I take part in a trip to the Houses of Parliament in September. It's full of gold paint and so on, pretty cool... despite the fact we were treated to a Q&A session with Jack Straw, the rather dull Foreign Secretary.
