Yeah I was happy to hear that Jedi Knight 2 is on the way to X-Box now.

I believe that the PC should be left for school work and applications as games do not work too good on them, they crash often, errors occur, require installation, not on DVD discs, no decent racing games and need constantly updating. Consoles are for gaming and this is quite sad as there are some great PC games that are PC exclusive but Microsoft are at least getting them onto the Xbox. I had this problem with Max Payne, on PC it wouldn't work but on Xbox it is better than the PC version and it works + with pad!

Cause one - my PC is too cack to run most half recent games properly and two - I want a version I can play without the fear of it crashing after doing a lot of progress on it.
I'm just not a big fan of PC games, had too many experiences of watching games crash. I love some of the games that come out, I just don't like the PC very much.

Cyclone - I'll look at the site when it updates. I've been really looking at the odd website and reading through Nintendo mags to see the games lists and whats on the way, confirmed, etc.
As for the online thing, Nintendo might be playing caution but thats what they did when Sony was working with them. They refused to change from cartridges, so Sony pretty much said "sod you then" and went their own way. I think we both agree that this came back to kick Nintendo right in the teeth because Sony have such a strong position now when originally, they were working with Nintendo.
Although online gaming isn't thought of as massively important right now, what if Microsoft have really found the next big thing ? Afterall, they're not stupid, even the people who hate the company's guts will admit that. Sony took a chance with disks and also grabbed a new audience of gamers, if Microsoft pull this off, whats to stop them getting in a similar situation to what Sony has now ? Nintendo will end up playing catch up again and it could be a real fatal blow for them.
Sony have online plans but they don't extend to the same amount of ambition as Microsoft's. If not for Sega, Nintendo wouldn't have even added the chance for online play.
I think a lot of companies are aware of how big this area can become, its a matter of who has the guts to take the initiative and do it right. Nintendo can make games as I've said before, but when it comes to change, they don't like to take risks. This has been their downfall before and it could well happen again.

I have a 28" TV and I would prefer to play it on that, also improvements have been promised so I will wait till next friday for the Xbox release.
Ye I am going to get Championship Manager and Commandos 2, love em as they are both amazing strategy games.

garb - I'll definatly be picking up Commando's 2 at some point. ;-) Not too sure when at the moment, but hopefully in the near future. Also looking to get Crash, Champ Manager and Fifa World Cup 2002 soon as well. :-)
