Yeah a mouse is good. I'm not too worried either way though cause I'm quite used to using controllers now because of the amount of strategy games I've played on consoles. ;-))

Well make sure they realise a mouse for it, even with a 3D stick a mouse is by far better to use.

I did actually try a few strategy games on the PC such as C&C Tiberium Sun and Age of Empires 2 among others. Thing is, as enjoyable as they were to play, everytime the situation got a little busy of I had made a decent base, the comp would crash and I'd be left swearing at the thing. ;-))

Its not that I don't enjoy PC games, I've seen loads that I'd love to play, but I just don't trust comps all that much when it comes to games. Thats another bonus about the X-Box console, it has some excellent PC titles lined up so I have a mixture of multi-platform games going to the 3 consoles and some of the best PC games along with the exclusives the X-Box is getting.

I was REALLY happy when Mech Assault was announced cause I'm a big fan of the Mechwarrior games on PC. Even though they crashed a few times, it wasn't as bad to lose some progress in a mission rather than like a couple of hours worth of building, etc on a strategy game.

I played C&C on consoles like the PS1 and I really enjoyed them still, so I think consoles like the X-Box will be ok at taking the games. One game I was disappointed in though was Age of Empires 2 on the PS2. I have the PC version and jumped at the chance to own a console version that wouldn't crash on me. However it was a pretty poor effort in the long run when I found out how little units I could have at once and stuff. I wasn't too worried about the graphics but the size of my armies ended up being pretty crap. :-(

Sibs, Commandos 2 is incredibly easy.
And for the last time, Nintendo DO know what they are using the slots for!
Memory expansion, modem, broadband. Have you got that yet? Oh and Savett (sp?) why don't you just buy all these games on the PC? They're cheaper and games like Command and Conquer are much more suited to a Pc than a console.

so people could this site spam, so why do people keep adding to it and point out failuers with the x box (and othe console) all i won't to do was start a talking point and put my views across. first of all the game cube does have two different modems. boardband 56k. three games that are in the pipeline are phantasy star online 1+2. and a new pikimin. there are two more slots under the cube. memory expansion has n't been ruled out9as they did with N64) link cables like what ps2 and Xbox can do. also the option of a mouse has been brought up. you never know what nintendo will do with there slots, bet you thought you would never been porting your pokem from you Gameboy to your 64 or joe dark cheats.

there are two usb ports on the ps2 it allows you to plug a usb compatable keyboard for action reply or the lynnx progameing soft wear thats coming out with the ps2 own hard drive and modem.

game cube can also play sound sound via prologic 2, yes it does make a big differance to any game. hearing cars comeing up behind you or tiefighters screaming in for the attack.

as i have said before most third party games are coming out for all console's.

PC don't allways crash and they do have there place for games, you can easylier upgrade them to keep with what developers do to games. the only reason some off you are been like this is' you ca't say mines got a hard drive or internet or how can play DVD's. hows got the better sound.

What's the difficulty of Commandos 2 compared to the first one...?

I got the 1st one for PC AGES ago, still haven't won it, but got pretty far on it... I think I'd just won the last of the desert missions, and was on the first mission in some... dunno... looked like a middle east country or something? I think it was the environment just before the actual Germany missions...

Well the X-Box certainly has some excellent looking Star Wars titles on the way so theres plenty to look forward to in that area. :-)

Be nice if they do another X-Wing vs TIE Fighter style game for the X-Box. I bet it'd look great. Maybe even add some online capabilities to it. Imagine how good that could be, a team of players controlling Rebel ships while another team plays as the Imperials. :-)
