Sorry, but I think they are. I own (alright, have copied, same thing) both albums, and aside from the intro to Plug In Baby and some nice piano parts, the albums are monotonus.

It is very difficult to tell two songs apart - it just blends into one big mass of noise, none of which is particulery good to listen to.

Anyway - thats my opinion. Feel free to shout at me.

Votternator, keep on rockin' in the free world!
Stryke, Allerdini, i'm very sorry, but I really do fail to see how you can possibly call the almighty Muse bollix.
In fact, i'm not even going to attempt to justify it.
Humph.

I agree. Ross, you are defeated. Muse are crap. Utter bollix. Always said so. It's boring and bland. No passion or cheerfulness in their lyrics or music.

It's grey. All of it.

Okay so it's your opinion, but I now have to crush that opnion into the ground! :-D

MUSE RULE!! They are the best band in the world. Showbiz is absolutely amazing. Origin of Symmetry is even better. And their new album is going to rule also.

Not much of a crush into the ground. But I don't feel great. So I'm leaving. Farewell all.

Hmmm.
I disagree with you there, and the term 'rubbish' is entirely inappropriate. Muse are fantastic, and I great band to watch live (believe me, I know) but I do get what you mean. There great, but for some reason I don't seem to be able to put 'Origin....' on a loop for an hour, unlike the Pixies, Pumpkins and Nirvana. Strange.
I was going to shout at you, until the 'feel free to shout at me'.
Bah.

I like Muse, but I see what you mean. The songs all have that 'operatic' feel to them and Matt Bellamy always ends up going 'Ooooooooooh oooooooh oooooooooh' like a spazzed out monkey on helium. 'Showbiz' is definitely the most varied of the two albums, although 'Origin...' does have it's charms. Rubbish is a bit harsh though - tell me you can't listen to 'Hypermusic' without going 'Yes, yes, yes!' and making the international sign of rock.
