Now, I'm sure some of you will know this already, but I'm equally sure there are many of you who do not. With that in mind, please read on.

There is a myth about, that has been around for many years, that all the Welsh are sheep-shaggers. This myth is, of course, exactly that: A Myth.

But where did it come from?

Well, you see, in years past, Wales had a big problem with sheep rustling (that is, the theft of sheep from people's farms), to combat this, sheep rustling was given the death penalty. It was thought this would act as ample deterrant for would be sheep-rustlers.

However, cunning as the sheep-rustlers were, they devised a way around the punishment. Were they ever to be caught attempted to rustle a sheep, they would instantly drop their pants, and commence shagging the sheep in question. They did this, because molesting a sheep carried a much lighter sentence, and so continued to rustle.

It is from the rustlers who got caught effectively with their pants down, that the myth of Welsh sheep-shaggers emerged.

I hope you understand now that calling welsh sheep shaggers, is merely encouraging them to recollect the cunning of their ancestors.

There are two sheep for every human in Wales.

That really doesn't help kill off that 'myth'.

I'm sure if the same logic was applied, if you say Welsh are sheep-shaggers because there's a hell of a lot of sheep in Wales, then all the English are homeless-shaggers, I suppose.

But now, that would be cruel and offensive.

Even if that original 'fact' is a fact, I reckon the reason the term is used now is to stop the Welsh questioning for fear of being occused when they catch English tourists in their farms in the welsh valleys doing naughty things to sheep lol

Yup. If Britain was in the shape of a man, we're the knob. Check a map to see what I mean, odd that the balls are a little high, though.

"Best accent though."

This is popping up a lot recently... apparently I've got one, but I can't tell.
