Sony reaches 30 million PlayStation 2 milestone
Sony says it has now shipped 30 million PlayStation 2 units worldwide.
It claims the milestone shows it is stretching its lead despite the arrival of rival machines.
Four million consoles have been sold since February.
President of the firm's American gaming subsidiary Kaz Hirai adds moves are afoot to improve the system.
He says hardware, software and online-gaming announcements will be made at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles later this month.
Just make sure they don;t have a disclaimer on hardware ;)
"And what's wrong with it, sir?"
"I'm not happy with the colour."
Whatcha reckon?
If thats not enough though, and you really want it to be black... there`s always paint. I mean, its not like its a tough surface to do, its just a cube! :D

Sorry, I missed a bit out of that post!
I meant to say that I did initially change the tagline to "Cubed", but that was too obvious, so I went for "To the power of 3" to be a little less so.

He wasn't joking.
It's a real Memory Card.

I was right.
Good milestone to get to for Sony.

What was the more cryptic tag before that, I think I missed it.

Ah, thanks! I`d send you a thank you card if I had one :D

I`ve certainly heard good things about both of them. I still find the idea of Star Wars games really tempting, but I`m determined to stick with one machine. We`re not that far from 2006, so I`ll probably wait for PS3 :D
Its not that I`m too stubborn to give into the opposition in this console war, its more that, within your own home, there is always a winner, even if you don`t want there to be. With my PSone I bought an N64 later, but that became the one you "get out for parties" but nothing else. I think that PS2 has such strong roots with me now that any new console would get sidelined after a few weeks of initial excitement.
