Couple of you on here might know that I have huge problems getting to sleep every night which is really starting to destroy me physically and mentally. I am just wondering if anyone knows anyway (without alcohol or illegal drugs) to get to sleep and get a good nights rest.

I need some because my A level exams are fast flying towards me over the horizon.

One of you out there must know a way (without the bloody counting sheep method) to get to sleep. Flowers? Soap? Scents?....

I cry sometimes, my body doesn't let me go to sleep. Its not painful, but its killing me.

Please.

I had Insomnia as a kid and it messed me up.

Thank you all so much. I will trying most of those ideas.. especially Your Honours idea digestive biscuits.. I don't think screens help me before I go to bed either. :)

White noise is supposed to help, like a TV switched to a channel with 'snow' or a radio tuned between stations, quietly though otherwise it would just be annoying.

They used to say the same thing about hops (used in ale me thinks) stuff them in a bag and put them in your pillow, does the same thing, then after your A-Levels make some ale/beer whatever to celbrate...yah.

Lay in your bed about half an hour before you want to go to sleep and turn the light of but keep the t.v on so the room is generally dark. Then just sit their and watch t.v untill your eyes begin to let you know its time to hit the pillow, you know what I mean :).

Lavender on your pillow.

Stinks but it really relaxes you.

Sex if possible. No booze or stimulants. Wind yerself down dont hop into bed straight after tv.

Make sure your room is at a decent temperature, your bladder aint full and you brain is not ticking over.
