In a moment of madness this weekend I bought an Xbox. I got an excellent deal but up to yet it's still sat in my bedroom all boxed up.

I don't why I bought it, well yes I do I wanted to play games and the offer was so tempting but now I'm having second thoughts. I'm not having seconds thoughts on playing games but on whether I should return the Xbox to the shop and swap it for a Gamecube, I have until Saturday to do this.

The Xbox looks good and I am so tempted to open it but then I think, well its only a few days until the Gamecube launches and I so much want to play Lugi and Sonic.

Now your all thinking why didn't I wait and just buy a gamecube? Well I thought I had made my mind up on a Gamecube but then I saw a better deal for an Xbox and then when I went to purchases this 'better' deal, I got an even better deal, so in the end It was simply the price that determined my choice.

Now what should I do?, what would you do?

I have sat at home the aforementioned Xbox and copies of Halo, Max Payne, Dead Or Alive 3, Artic Thunder and Mad Dash Racing. I could either keep this or return it to the store. If I returned it the store I would have the £300 again to spend on a Gamecube.

So It's the value of the Xbox and the temptation of online Halo or kicking ten bells of s=== out of my mates with DOA 3
VS
The 'cuteness' of that little purple cube and hours of endless fun with Lugi and Sonic.

What is a man to do? Xbox or Cube Xbox or Cube Xbox or Cube ....... Help!

BTW Playstation 2 is out of the question, Been there done that and Now that's GTA 3 on the way for the PC, the PS2 has no appeal.

Crazy Taxi 3: Oh Yesssssssssssss!
The Crazy Taxi series has the best "pure gameplay" around, and the Xbox version should be cooler than a frozen fox.

I think you should keep the Xbox if you want to play on the games on the Xbox. If your more interested in the GC games return the Xbox.

If you do keep your Xbox return Artic Thunder and Mad Dash Racing, as these arent excatly the best games for the Xbox.

Or maybe cooky you could get a NES, SNES and N64 with one mario, one zelda on each console and wave race. Then get a new TV...with the leftover money

Yeah but you couldn't watch DVD films, save your favourite music to the Hard Drive and play them back over your favoutire game, play online, and most importantly get your hands on the greatest game of all time "Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller".

Okay so the last one is a personal thing.

True. It's really down to the games that you want to play.

Personally I think that you could just get a Dreamcast, MSR, JSR, and a Gamecube for the price of a X-Box!

If, deep down, you really want a GameCube, then get a GameCube.

For me personally, the Xbox is better - but it's all about personal preferences.

All I can say is the Xbox is fantastic - with games like Halo, Jet Set Radio Future, Project Gotham Racing, etc - but I'm sure the GameCube will be also.
Look at the games avavilable and decide from there.

It's the faaarrr better console!

Just put it down to a sudden stroke of madness that you bought an X-Box! Take that brick back, and get the brilliant Gamecube!
