Did any one see Newsround on BBC1 (or 2) a couple of days ago.
They got this geekey 13 year old kid to 'review' the Gamecube!
He said that the advantage was the price (that's not all!)
And the disadvantages were that it does not play DVD's or CD's (It's a games console NOT a multimedia console) and that you cannot play old Nintendo games on it.
THAT IS WHAT FLIPPEN N64's are for!!!
Do you know anyone who acctually plays old PS titles on their PS2?!?!?!?
NO-ONE cause sequels and better games have come out since three years ago!
Backwards compatibility does not matter.
The X-BOX was not backwards compatible. So you can't play early games on it. Does it matter? NO
Should Gamecube backwards compatibility matter? NO
*Gees*
The BBC should really hire propper staff if they wan't a decent TV program.
WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WATCHING NEWSROUND IN THE FIRST PLACE!?!?!?!?

Newsround are wrong in one way.

GC can play CDs, and the Q Cube plays DVDs.

I was emphisising the point that the Dreamcast was not backwards compatible, the X-BOX CAN'T be backwards compatible so it dosent matter that the gamecube was not backwards compatible!!!!

Ahhh, I love having a go at people for stupid posts! Its just soo much fun!

I play my old PS1 games on my PS2, it saves having both out at the same time.
Xbox is a first, how can it play older version of games? There arn't any!!
Newsround have the Press Gang, its where kids review for kids. Its like a competition to do a review and its chance that this kid got chosen

I agree with you on a few points though, the N64 took cartridges so I really don't know what that kid was on about about backwards compatibility! Cartridge - DVD??? That works!
A DVD player is nice on the PS2 as it is a novelty to have some films to watch if you cant afford to buy a DVD player but it doesn't matter if it doesn't have anything.

Think about all of your points though before you post next time. I just need to know though, what console did you think was before XBOX?
