Did any one see Newsround on BBC1 (or 2) a couple of days ago.
They got this geekey 13 year old kid to 'review' the Gamecube!
He said that the advantage was the price (that's not all!)
And the disadvantages were that it does not play DVD's or CD's (It's a games console NOT a multimedia console) and that you cannot play old Nintendo games on it.
THAT IS WHAT FLIPPEN N64's are for!!!
Do you know anyone who acctually plays old PS titles on their PS2?!?!?!?
NO-ONE cause sequels and better games have come out since three years ago!
Backwards compatibility does not matter.
The X-BOX was not backwards compatible. So you can't play early games on it. Does it matter? NO
Should Gamecube backwards compatibility matter? NO

The BBC should really hire propper staff if they wan't a decent TV program.

Bah, Newsround went downhill when John Craven left! (mind you, it wasn't exactly state of the art back then)
Yeh, they had other kids to review the other ones, they gave the X-box to this little girl, i don't know how she held it up. anyway i fourght they were rubish, i hate it when people say that PS2 has hundreds of games and that GC won't have many, GC won't have 100 games at launch now will it!!

I the end really it comes down to what 'you' like about the console and if 'you' think it will be a good investment. Who cares what some eight year old kid who probably doesn't know the first thing about gaming says.
I've never listened to any reviews for games from the BBC or Newsround, they just can't review things fairly.

- The controller is the right size for your hand
- The games aren't glitchy
- Who cares for DETAILED graphics? As long as the game plays fine then I'm happy.
- There is a wide selection of games. Not all blood, guts and explosions, but not all cutesy-cuddly.
