OK OK.... don't know if yo have noticed it but the PSX is one of the worst computers for build quality.

It may clearly be the BEST EVER for quality of games, but there is no point in all the games if the thing don't work.

From day 1 Sony have had to make constant changes to there little bundle of joy.

EVERY ONE i know with a playstation has had a least one problem with it. The common one being a piece of plastice flying off the middle.

By PSX does all of this, over heat, crash, bits of plastic braking off, works slow, can't read CD probley, etc. But the worst thing is i have NEVER cause any damage to the playstation or CDs. The only reason for these problems is cheap components.

Oh and guess what... I phoned up sony and they wanted £40 and my working (just) playstation for a recondintioned one, CHEEK, i could by a brand new one for £70 in specail reserve.

ANY WAY...all i really want is for sony to use better quality parts in the PSX2 'cause i am tired with th PSX being so cheap....

AND TO THE DELEVOPERS, good work keep it up y'all

I own both a PSX and a N64 and i prefer to use a CD. Basically because the sound quality is much better. My friends [who own N64's] think cartriges are better because they dont have loading times. I just always say to them that they are impatient. Anyway what do you think is better CD's or Cartdriges?. And what reasons do you have for it.

thanks for your comments i was afraid of the date slipping as i wanted one as a stop gap until the ps2 finally surfaced maybe i should just stick to the dreamcast but games for that take nearly as lng as the ps2 to surface

THAT'S BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ONE! PSX2 ROCKS!

The development pack Sony are sending out to designers to make games with has been deskribed as BUGED FRUSTRATING and LIMITING. It is also more exspensive than Nintendoes dvelopment pack and Sony don't offer mutch support. Because of this more and more games desigers are spliting from Sony to go to nintendo. If you don't beleave me on how bad it is look at the current games comming out for it. They may be impresive to look at but they sertanly don't need mutch programing.

At the moment the only people that carn't see the PSX2 flopping is Sony they don't even seem to see a problem.

sony are making a big mess up about the playstaion 2 launch
first they say that thay are going to release it in october and there now going to release it in november then the preorder fiasco preorder
in august now you have to preorder it in september and the price
£299 thats to much just spend £150 on an ace dreamcast it looks better
then the playstation 2 and as for the games gt2000 is post to be a lauch title now your not going to be able to get until 2001 and it only has a few launch titles compared to the dreamcast what had loads of launch titles and there only shipping in 100.000 units into the whole of europe the whole playstation2 thing is a mess i

Can anyone help me in trying to find any Dragonball/Z/GT or any other games in the series as I need them. All I can find are Japanese or the occasional U.S versions but I can't find a Pal (UK) version. So if you have one to sell, know where I can get one or have any more info please let me know.

I think that the length of games is big issue in the gaming world. Take for example Metal Gear Solid. It's such a great game but so short. The price of games means I have stopped buying games because they are so short. But that doesn't stop me from playing games. Why pay £30 for a game when you can have it for the weekend for a tenth of the price. My collectio of games includes multi player games like Speed Freaks or games which take a lot of time to complete such as Tomb Raider 3 or Command and Conquer where you can play over and over again. For me, it's quality and quantity.
