I've tryed my hardest to like this game but I just can't find it in me, it's a great conversion don't get me wrong but what the heck is up with the controls?
They just suck, i've fiddled around with the sensitivity setting but it just sucks. The game's just crying out for an auto aiming system like Goldeneye, I can't see how ID could have over looked this. You just can't get the kind of pin point accuracy needed for Quake from an analog stick that you can from a keyboard and mouse combo. Half the time I just find myself firing wildly in hopes that maybe I can get a few shots on target.
Don't think i'm some PC games bum boy though, I love console 1st person shooters but this sucks most royally.
i'm stuck on the 3rd level of the Single player game and I really can't see myself getting any further unless I go out and buy a mouse and keyboard.
I'm just glad I only payed £5 for it....
On a happier note Tech Romancer rules everyone should own this game.

I was quite disappointed with Unreal Tournament on DC!! The lack of online gaming ruined it without doubt!!
I'm not normally one to gripe so much about graphics - playability that counts in the end, but when Quake III was done so well and retained so much of what the PC looked like, the sloppy programming in UT stands out a mile.
Yes, maybe the playability is ok (although it wasn't to my taste either), but the graphics engine and the visuals any game displays is a better benchmark for programming effort/skill than any other.
Could we set up a thing where you bombard certain companies with emails telling them how annoyed we are at the sheer lack of effort when it comes to Sega consoles? I don't know what it is, but since the Saturn was first released most games companies have given Sega's consoles the back seat - the sh!tty end of the stick when it comes to code. I mean for crying out loud, the whole point of enabling the Dreamcast to run on Windows CE was to make it easier for games developers to get PC-style things out of it, not so that it could host low-quality shabby conversions.

Yep i agree. But for a tenner i cant complain! lol :-)
