"GAME - Customer advice (I kid you not)"

I couldn't believe what I heard today in GAME, talk about being biased (and stupid)

Here's the scene

Today I was in GAME and this guy was advising some customer on which console to buy and roughly this is what he said.

PS2 - Most popular and BEST new console, plays DVD, CD's blah blah blah holds the GTA series and the new Vice city is out soon etc....

X-Box - The PS2's ONLY real competitor also plays DVD's, CD's blah blah blah features games such as Halo etc etc

Gamecube - People only buy these if they're a fan of Nintendo, you either love them or hate them, don't really compete with the PS2 and X-Box, a good choice if young children are going to play too, features games like Mario etc....

What the hell!? This is completely true and that is more or less the exact words the guy said, shocking! How are Nintendo supposed to sell when they get reviews like that from the people selling the console? I felt like jumping in the middle of the agreeing guy who was taking it all in and prove that sucker wrong (or something).

I heard a similar thing on Saturday at Game. They were really plugging the xbox to some poor soul who was buying agames console for his son for xmas. I thought Game were an unbiased on selling systems and games. Also they give lousy money for your 2nd hand games too!!!

Well i love game now.

Got pikmin second hand, in a damaged box. So it went from £45 down to £27 cause its second hand, and down to £20 becuase of the box.

The game didnt work so i took it back, all they did was put a BRAND NEW game disc in the old box and i walked out of there not having to pay anything else.

Box is damamged but not that bad..just the number on the instructions and back of box...but thats worth coping with for £25.

I never ask people in high street stores for advice because you never know what crap they'll make up on the spot. And the fact that I never need any advice anyway. And the fact that I never even bother going in high street shops because everything is cheaper from SR. But apart from all that, I trust them 100%.

*MOCKINGLY* like the PS2 is better suited to someone than the gamecube

I plan to get a job at GAME and bring them down from the inside.
Seriously. I'll where an SR T-shirt and flash it at every customer. Then tell them that GAME are talking a loads of bollards and that they overcharge.
THEN I'll ask whether they want a loyalty card :-D
