Hmm, I suppose Sheepy does have a point. I'm completly against the monarchy (whats the bloody point of a queen?) and you shouldn't be forced to pay your respects to someone who didn't even know you existed.

They've had obituary programs ready for when this happened for years. That's why the initial Diana tributes had so much footage of the Queen mother in them, the first port of call was the Queen Mother tribute tape.
Those media people are cynical. You wait, an implausibly in depth tribute will play this evening, the paper's will have massively detailed colour supplements, all of which have been ready for years, so that the second she died they could roll off the printline and flow on to the TV screens.

Just heard it on the news about five minutes ago. Someone told me to switch over to BBC1, so I just did and saw it on there. There's about 4 channels doing tributes to her (which I think is over to the top, but oh well!). I offer condolences where they are due to the royal family etc, but we can't say that we weren't expecting it really, she was very old, and I predicted (not that I normally predict these things, I'm not a morbid b****r!) that she'd die either this year or next year. This can't be good for the Jubilee though can it? I'm sorry to say this, but I can't see the Queen living much longer either now, she'll probably die from a broken heart.
