i think the Ps2 is heading for the bottom, as both the new ones have tones of quality games heading for the shops although GTA vice city is gonna be a block buster, and send the GC and the Brick, i mean Xbox packing for a while, although they will rise with other titles in the future !

Although I disagree with the rather blunt statement 'PS2 is going down' I must admit I have noticed a drought of good games for the PS2, or at least, of genre's I like. Stuntman looked 'good'. GTA:Vice City will be good but again i'm not one to buy a game because everyone else. Still, Ratchet and Clank....
Retailers are interested in shifting games though, not consoles which they make very little on.
Still doesn't make the Getaway a good game, even if it was Sony's two main games GTA and the boring Getaway are both the same - essentially gangster games. Boring. GTA 3 was okay but got repetitive. I want something that's actually fun to play and different looking, not "go blow away this guy, nick this car, take it to this place" e.t.c. Kingdom Hearts does look nice, but I guarantee it'll sell apallingly because of the Disney side to it.

Besides, more unit sales = more games sales. Currently, 10% of PS2 owners purchasing a certain game would equate to more sales than 100% of Xbox/Gamecube owners buying the same title.

Besides, more unit sales = more games sales. Currently, 10% of PS2 owners purchasing a certain game would equate to more sales than 100% of Xbox/Gamecube owners buying the same title.

Tomb Raider games are down right awful.
I've never liked any of them.

The lack of Tombraider this xmas means there's only GTA Vice worth buying, and that's essentially GTA 3 with an 80's flavour - Timesplitters 2 and MGS 2 have been the only things to impress me this year. Sure, theres been good games on the PS2, but nothing memorable for me. Gamecube ? Everything I've played so far stands out, not sure about Xbos as I don't own one, but the stuff out there looks good.
