with the GameCube and the X-box to contend with
i think the Ps2 is heading for the bottom, as both the new ones have tones of quality games heading for the shops although GTA vice city is gonna be a block buster, and send the GC and the Brick, i mean Xbox packing for a while, although they will rise with other titles in the future !

We are going to see a lot more "exclusive’s" to each of the 3 consoles, i think. Each want's its user base to grow. Each want's new users. Each wants to keep the users it already has. So each company needs darn good reasons for you to buy their console. So GTA series is PS2. Resi series is GC. Micorsoft are buying up everything in sight (to ultimately end up an XBox only title). This will make it very difficult to choose a console (unless you have loads of cash).

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Vice City is no longer coming for Xbox or any other console.

Sony have exclusive console rights to the entire GTA series until then end of 2004. The PC is the only other platform you'll be able to get the game for.

Well, on my PS2 right now, I have Need for speed and Burnout2. Still to get TimeSplitters2, after Christmas there is Tomb Raider - thats going to be big. B 4 that, we can have some great fun with GTA:ViceCity. Then get serious with the hyper realistic, Getaway. The kids can have Ratchet and Clank, and when I do run out of "action" games, I can relax with the SIMS on PS2 for a while.
