"MS and GC are they getting a raw deal?"

As a PS2 owner I can't help but chuckle at the problem Gamecube and Xbox owners face.

There systems software more often than not are just cheap ports of PS2 games and a way of making some easily money for developers without the effort. Need for Speed is an obvious example of this while the PS2 version runs at a really fast pace the Gamecube version is hysterically slow not much good having a smart looking racer that move like a lada. The Xbox version granted is better, but still not as good as the PS2 version why is this because the game has obviously been optimised for the PS2 first and then ported over.

People that say PS2 is dead need to get there head out of the sand from what I can see there would be no reason to buy a GC or Xbox on this evidence as you pay more for clone or inferior product. That is why the PS2 continues to sell as many as Xbox and GC put together.

thats because, as I said, they have very little idea of either of the consoles, and the PS2 is the 'cool console' for no reason.

Legend Of Zelda, Mario, Shogun Total War.....games like that. I'm not saying all PS2 games are bad, just a game like GTA3 has no, sort of, no soul to it. Its undoubtedly an excellent game, with terrific vision behind it, but its just a tiny bit soulless. Which I dislike greatly.

Cyclone what sort of games do grab you then.

I have to say, what the PS2 offers in comparison with the XBox, and particualrly (in my opinion) the GC is just, for lack of a better word, 'bland'. Of course FF rules, but thats also on Cube now..........While there are many decent titles on PS2, only a very very very minute few have ever grabbed me. One being FF7.

Yeah they used to come into the other forums a lot more (when ~Res~ was about), but since he's gone they've stuck inside of their own forums. Which is good now.

Fair enough you have a few exclusives but nowhere near the numbers on Xbox and Gamecube. Thats real bad luck then never mind I can tell you how good Burnout2 is now Tiltawhirl, still never mind when the Xbox and GC finally get Burnout2 it will be barnstorming. Then again will PS2 owners care they will be playing Burnout3.

im assuming you have never played it. I own turok evolution on GC and its pretty godamn good. Only really is fun on a big TV though. the single player is pretty amazing. not much replay on that but the multiplayer is good.
