There systems software more often than not are just cheap ports of PS2 games and a way of making some easily money for developers without the effort. Need for Speed is an obvious example of this while the PS2 version runs at a really fast pace the Gamecube version is hysterically slow not much good having a smart looking racer that move like a lada. The Xbox version granted is better, but still not as good as the PS2 version why is this because the game has obviously been optimised for the PS2 first and then ported over.
People that say PS2 is dead need to get there head out of the sand from what I can see there would be no reason to buy a GC or Xbox on this evidence as you pay more for clone or inferior product. That is why the PS2 continues to sell as many as Xbox and GC put together.

Then the marketing peeps at Ninty and the big M need a kick up the u know where! After all, those are the people responsible for making their consoles "cool".
Anyway, from what I can see, a lot (if not all) of the younger gamers know exactly what to ask for, and its still PS2.

cann you really claim that those games weren't just 'a way of making some easily money for developers without the effort'?

why the hall would nintendo or microsoft want to clone something as rubbish as that?

no, the reason is that mums, and dads, and kids, see it as the 'cool' console, and don't often know anything about the other consoles existance.

A rehash title?
Ummmmmm what?
What you have to understand is that Ninty's and Xbox owners don't have to rely so heavily on 3rd party titles as PS2 owners. Fair enough you have a few exclusives but nowhere near the numbers on Xbox and Gamecube. Oh and also a lot of 3rd party titles take longer to come out on Cube and Xbox cause Sony buy the exclusive rights to the game for 6 months, this has happened with Burnout 2.

Well we'll see whether Burnout 2 is better on the Cube and Xbox, then you'll be crying.

And these exclusives are - almost without exception - superior to any games the PS2 has.

pay attension, top score

And don't forget that if he says that Turok evolution was the original port from the PS2, KILL HIM!
Turok was originally from Nintendo, and Nintendo only.
