Anyway, I decided to go into the usual High street Gaming shops just to see what games are out/priced. So I went into Gamestation, and too my astonishment the Xbox stand was crowded with people, mainly browsing the games and the brand new "Sega Xbox Pack" i saw 4 people buying the Xbox and many people purchasing games. One bloke asked me if I had one, we got talking and i recommended getting The Xbox Pack, Halo and an extra controller, he is now a proud owner of the big black machine we all love.
I felt pleased that alot of intrest is being put into the console. So i went into Game, And MORE people were crowded around the Xbox area, buying games and Xbox's and various other items.
Microsoft must of done something right by doing that deal with Sega, Its excellent value and if I did'nt have an Xbox, i'd go out and buy one!
I picked up a few Xbox leaflets from the counter and asked the bloke about pre-ordering Splinter Cell. I decided to buy a Reward Card whilst I was at it, So now I have a nice copy of Splinter Cell put to the side for me AND i'll get Double reward points for it.
I think people are starting to trust the console and expressing more intrest in it.
Xbox - Rock on
Although the package has 2 great games there are all the top launch titles to pick up along with the latest releases. For people buying an Xbox now they are hitting the Xbox market at a great time! Not only do they get to pick up some of the amazing launch titles but also within the next 7 weeks there are a host of amazing titles on the way which are sure to boost console sales.
I think the big sellers are Halo, Splinter Cell, Dead or Alive 3 etc. but there are also games like Sega GT 2002 and Gun Valkyrie etc. which are there as reserve rentals or additional purchases. I am also a firm believer in the fact that the S-Controller will help to boost Xbox sales. For fans of the GameCube and PS2 controller the S-Controller will be a nice niche in-between those which could prove to be the changing point in Microsofts campaign.
A few of my friends who have never been interested in gaming are going out to buy the package because of the 'COOL' image Jet Set Radio Future holds, also one of my friends has advertised his GameCube on Adtrader in order to get this package before christmas. A great time for Xbox gamers and a great time for Microsoft :) I am sure more of what you said will be going on around the country between now and christmas!
