"Public intrest in Xbox"

Today i ventured into Nottingham to get a few bits and bobs, mainly just a multi-plug hub so i could connect more devices in my room.

Anyway, I decided to go into the usual High street Gaming shops just to see what games are out/priced. So I went into Gamestation, and too my astonishment the Xbox stand was crowded with people, mainly browsing the games and the brand new "Sega Xbox Pack" i saw 4 people buying the Xbox and many people purchasing games. One bloke asked me if I had one, we got talking and i recommended getting The Xbox Pack, Halo and an extra controller, he is now a proud owner of the big black machine we all love.

I felt pleased that alot of intrest is being put into the console. So i went into Game, And MORE people were crowded around the Xbox area, buying games and Xbox's and various other items.

Microsoft must of done something right by doing that deal with Sega, Its excellent value and if I did'nt have an Xbox, i'd go out and buy one!

I picked up a few Xbox leaflets from the counter and asked the bloke about pre-ordering Splinter Cell. I decided to buy a Reward Card whilst I was at it, So now I have a nice copy of Splinter Cell put to the side for me AND i'll get Double reward points for it.

I think people are starting to trust the console and expressing more intrest in it.

More interest yea, I agree. Proabably now the bran Xbox is becoming recognised and trusted by people where at launch people still went with PS2 as it was safer.

I might get one of the new controllers so I have 4 :D and I was a xbox hater at first but more and more I saw of it I grew to love it eventually.

Was there anyhting about contrllers when the ver first nintendo came out? I think not why have things changed?

I think both controllers are great. :-) I think it'll be a case of switching between them depending on what game I'm playing.
As for the X-Box's popularity - its definatly on the up. I've seen a lot of people buying them and quite a few people have asked me about the console because they are interested in making the purchase.
That X-Box promo disk from Stuff Live hasn't failed once when persuading people to buy the X-Box. ;-))

Anyone who didn't own an X-Box always went home dying to get one after they'd seen my disk. ;-))

I never knew that I might check the size of the new pad out.

GAME has the controller S's, just look around the Xbox accesory section.

Also Do you think these are the "christmas" deals, or do you think they will add even more deals into the fray before/after christmad?

Also is there anywhere i can look at this new controller?
