It's a shame Nintendo did not use DVD. The lack of it is certainly an issue for many people. Even people who already have a DVD player, consider the PS2 to be the best for them since they can put the console in another room and use it for both games and DVD movies there. And DVD is used for games aswell, so games can be bigger on PS2 than on GC.

Please note the difference between outselling and outsold.

DVD's are the medium of choice at the moment, but VHS has a few decades headstart I believe.

More VHS cassettes have sold than DVD disks. That is an indisputable fact.

Annual dvd sales are now higher than annual VHS sales I believe.
