I would have thought that there would have been loads of "Have you played the demo!??!", "Splinter Cell ROX!!!" type threads, but none.
It's not really my sort of game, so I only gave the demo a real quick spin. I may have another go this weekend though.
But what's wrong with the game? Did it not live up to the hype, and that's why there were no threads about it? Or was everyone so busy playing it that they didn't get round to posting about it?
I'm really looking forward to Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon, together with Halo and the new price deal they sold the Xbox to me !

I think it might have helped if the magazine gave more complete controls, I found out by accident you can sneak up on people and grab them then knock them out, and in some cases interrogate them. As for the split jump being a double tap, it is after you've done the first jump...
A great game though, and if they can iron out the bugs it'll be a great game, until Raven Shield comes along :)

:-)
I can be such a dullard sometimes. I shall spend £5 to see if I can save myself £40.
*shakes head*
I've looked at this for a while, and liked the Clancy games on the PC - but got a little bored with the pre-planning stages.
Worth getting the mag to play the demo?
I've got as far as the office where there is one room with the video camera in, another with the concierge guy who doesn't move on the chair, another with the guy standing over the pc with the satchel and the empty office with the PC in. I've cleared all these, grabbed all the data files, killed everyone I saw. I go back down the stairs to the lobby where that civilian asks the officer at the desk about stuff. And I'm stuck.
Any ideas anyone ?
Also noticed a few more annoying features;
In the lobby you cannot shoot out the light.
Some of the cops you shoot at seem to have a great resilience to headshots, as in I have shot two in the head and they just kept on coming, and yes the aiming reticule was locked on and really focused.
I hope they sort out this stuff for the final release like Wookie says, the tearing thing will get really annoying on more light levels !

> Is it just me or is there a really big graphical glitch with the game?
I noticed that. I believe they call it "polygon tearing". It's as if the display isn't synchronised properly to the TV refresh rate. It should be fixed for the final release... I bloody hope so!
