I would have thought that there would have been loads of "Have you played the demo!??!", "Splinter Cell ROX!!!" type threads, but none.
It's not really my sort of game, so I only gave the demo a real quick spin. I may have another go this weekend though.
But what's wrong with the game? Did it not live up to the hype, and that's why there were no threads about it? Or was everyone so busy playing it that they didn't get round to posting about it?
> Interrogate people please explain???
Have yuo got the demo ? Anyway, on the demo the objective is to locate two CIA agents who have disappeared and were last seen being taken to the Police Precinct. You infiltrate into the building and come across a lab technician, by sneaking behind him, grabbing him and putting the gun to his head yuo can "interrogate" him and learn that the CIA Agents are at this certian location (don't want to give the game away) which is otherwise really hard (for me anyway) to know they will be in. Before I found you could do this I'd swept the entire place killing everyone.... best I can do is killing just two people.

It's not massive but there's no time limit so you can play around till your heart's content.
Played it about 5 times before I realised you could interrogate people and use an optic cable to peer under the door.
And the 1st time I got him to do that splits thing was very, very cool.
Absolutely fantastic, blows Metal Gear Solid out of the window.
Tiny little touches make it for me:
The moth/shadow at the start, being up against a wall and he knocks his head forward to use the night vision, the interrogation.
Absolutely stunning, and one of the first "must have" titles for the Xbox methinks.
Splinter Cell/Halo/Rocky
Glad I stuck with this console now
> Is it just me or does this sound a *bit* like Thief?
'Tis Thief on steroids, doing 100 mph, backwards, one handed....
Seriously, apart from technical issues in the demo, it's great and better than Metal Gear Solid 2 because, even on the demo, the story evolves without endless cut scenes. once the demo begins there are no cut scenes and none of MGS2's detailed descriptions of where to go. Until you know what you're doing, when you play the demo, it really feels like you are a covert op entering unfamiliar territory with no clear idea what to look for.
I spent half an hour looking for two missing agents, and when I finally realised my mistake...well the game suddenly falls into place.
I going to have to experiment though, I'm playing to too much like MGS2 where you could blow away every guard you found...

Yea I really like Tom Clancy's game convertions
And even further in the future we have the excellent Rainbow Six Raven Shield which should, barring a major disaster, kick Ghost Recon and every other squad based shooter to the floor with it's brilliance, hopefully :)
