Yeah, course you can, if you have the money that is. Besides like IB said, most of us already have a DVD player of some type, and I also have a GC, so feel the need to get another console just because it looks good and comes with DVD support.

Personally, I have my Gamecube, and 2 separate DVD players. Why I would need a third is comepletely beyond my comprehension.
