Ok, no offence to hindus but why are they having a go at hitman 2? How can they brand a game racist or immoral, claiming that the game is developed by men of mainly christian denomination, who have ignored the basic foundations of the Hindu faith, when pacifism is the Issue in hand. Christian faith is clearly a religion which is based around the issues of love and pacificism "love thy neighbour" "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, but yet i tell you to forget this". Yet to you see a mass uproar of christians campaigning over the fact that the first and last levels of Hitman 2 are perhaps the most violent in the game and involve in church massacres. The fact of the matter is that this is just a GAME, if you are immoral enough to run around with your silent berretta, double tapping bad guys in the head, and in game action actually singnifies desanctifying and commiting sin, then you are already immoral and sinful anyway according to the same logi, that in game actions reflect what shouldn't happen in life. Some people have gone way to far in there protests over the this game, and i hear some large chains have removed it from their shelves. This is clearly ridiculous. Mafia features a massacre at a funeral one of the holiest events in christian beleif where the body and soul are commited to God's care; yet there was no uproar at this. Some people need to face the reality that not everything needs a large reaction, and that somethings are really just harmless fun. Are they saying that, Violence and cold blooded murder is OK its only the location that matters? no, i don't think so. So its clearly a ridiculous over reaction.

Trivial crap, "news" for kids... usually report on some unimportant nonsense like harry potter, or equally inane events, but occasionally they like to think they're real journalists and kick up a fuss about sweet FA.
They've been painting the game as some racist romp, where you have to kill every hindu, because they're all terrorists if they wear a turban... bloody morons. Yes, we'll just neglect these few key points shall we:
1) The game has an 18 certificate, what the HELL were kids doing playing it in the first place, they certainly shouldn't be complaining about it if they actively broke the law to buy it.
2) I think the title may give something away here "****Hitman**** 2 ****Silent**** ****Assassin****". Why'd I jumbled up the title with asterisks? Because A) you're playing a hitman, someone who is not on the right side of the law, you're not going to be walking around asking people to nicely stop doing what they're doing so you can get paid are you? B) You're a "silent" assassin, the whole point is to kill as FEW people as possible, and merely eliminate your mark. A far cry from the "in the game you have to massacre large groups on every level" - which btw was what NR cited it as. Finally C) "Assassin"... just tell me which of the two candidates between an assassin and a hindu qualifies as the terrorist here? It's not like you're playing as an american police officer whose sole purpose is to elimanate all muslims, YOU ARE A CRIMINAL.
3) This kind of sensationalism tosh is exactly what causes racial disharmony, it's not the people who call names that do the most damage, it's the ones who act calm and collected and organise movements; solets just paint the entire videogaming industry as muslim haters, heck while we're at it, Britain and the US too, no the entire western hemisphere! They're looking for racist behaviour where there is none, and ironically are merely practicing prejudiced views themselves in doing this.
4) People aren't going to play a game then go and kill loads of muslims solely because of it... that kind of mental instability is caused by parental neglect or disinterest the kind you might find say, in a family that lets their 12yr old child by a game rated 18 - HINT HINT.
I've been toying with the idea of writing to NR and giving them a good old lecture on getting their facts straight, they tend to be all too quick to apologise when someone puts the boot in.

er christian monks do to. Bring me a picture of a christian monk with an Klashnikov and i'll give you a prize. Anyway who found out about this level, oh a hindu and I bet A) they weren't objecting when they were crowbaring somebody in the head in the church at the begining and B) If shootng people in a monestry is so bad why were they playing the game at all considering you hwould have to shoot people elsewhere which is immoral inpretty much every religion.
I think you may be right, however the Sikh monks live a life of peace and tranquility, therefore representing them as a violent mob is somewhat unrepresentative. Still it is only a game, and i wouldnt even have know nwho they were anyway, a monk is a monk as far as im concerned.
