Anybody experienced any lockups or freezes whilst playing their GC yet?

I just got my 1st lockup (Fifa 2003)

Ive had the console 2 months now and ive played Fifa many hours previously so its hard to pinpoint if theres a prob or if its one of those things.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

had a few in star wars rogue squardon, nothing to be worried about though

No lock ups on my GC as of yet - all in all, an excellently designed console. Unlike that Playstation 2 that freezes just before I get a chance to save my game. Grr..

Thats exactly what happened to me, i too had a continuos noise until i restarted the GC, all was well then... weird :s

Never had any freezes. Only glitch is that inexplicable slow down on Tatooine on RL. Odd that.....

I had one during Timesplitters 2. I was playing deathmatch, and the screen froze and made a high pitched noise. Turned it off, and turned it back on again and it was fine. But as er-no said, it happens to all consoles with disk loaded hardware.

Was just playing Wipeout64. Did quite a few of the hard challengers, was trying to do another when the game went and freezed up on me! Goddam!

ive had mine since day 0 in Japan, and had no lock ups or any probs at all

Ive been playing Eternal Darkness, Spiderman and Driven today and no further lockups just that that one i had so i guess its just one of those things that happens.

after leaving it on doing nothing it locks up lol
