"Alright then you Snes Retro freaks, recommendations please."

I've downloaded some Snes (and MegaDrive) emulators onto the school networks. Everythings in place, only I want a standard set of games to get.

Although I can think of hundreds of great single player games, this being at school, I want the focus on multiplayer. It's only two player but that's fine.

So tell me, what are the Snes multiplayer classics?

I've got:
StreetFighter 2 Turbo
Bomberman 3 (one bomberman game is enough so don't recommend other ones)
Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension
Mario All Stars (for Mario 3's battle game)

I've even put Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World and Super Metroid on too, although I might take them off...


So what are your Snes (and MegaDrive) multiplayer recommendations.

And don't you DARE recommend me a single RPG!
Yes, Harvest Moon, Final Fantasy, Zelda, they're all classics, but they encourage people to hog the computer!

Streets of Rage 2 and 3
Goldenaxe 2

For SNES

WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade game

I've got the original Contra Spirits sitting at home. What a game! They're re-releasing it for the PS2 but it just won't be the same.

Get 'Biker Mice from Mars' - Trust me!! :)

Downloaded Contra 3, Rock n Roll Racing and that RacerFX game (which might've been impressive 3D in it's time, but sucks in the modern age.)

Rock n Roll Racing is pretty intruiging, and Contra is just fantastic.

Whitestripes, that The Cult of Kefka site is tops, thanks for that! :-)

Lastly, Speedball? Sounds great but I can't find it.



No wait, THIS is lastly:
Mario kart is probably better for it's time, but I think that Mario Kart 64 is much more solid and playable, especially with the analogue controls.
That's what I think having played both games and I don't care what you purists say! :-P

Micro Machines 1-2
Street Racer (Rumble and football modes)
Jurrasic Park Lost World (This is a much differant version from the next-Gen versions and it has that all important 2 player game where two of you can help each other to complete the level).

Earthbound is superb. It has the funniest script ever!
