Come on isn't this a bit overboard now?

It.....hasn't. To be perfectly honest. It's moved on since the start, albeit quite slowly. At the start the topic was bundles and now it's which console has the best games - neither of which are particularly interesting, but hey, we're all bored.
It's obvious this is going nowehere, it's been the same kind of argument now for the last 6 months.
It all depends on what games your looking for. There are a couple of genres that are severely lacking on the X-Box that I'd like to see, namely the building/strategy games such as Red Alert 2 and more surprisingly, flight sims. And before anyone takes a dig I don't mean games like Flight Simulator. ;-) I mean a game like the Ace Combat series. This surprises me a bit really cause with the power the X-Box has, I'm sure a bloody good dogfighting game like the one I mentioned could be done with some real nice eye candy and sound thrown in too.
Oh well, theres always 2003 to hear some more announcements. Of course Deadly Skies is out but thats not all that good and Top Gun is one the way - had that for PS2 and didn't really get hooked on it for long.
Lets join forces and beat up the CRAP ps2.
God I hate that. GGRR
Anyway, please do ignore my posts - it'll be nice to discuss things without you whinging.

Are you sure you don't work for Microsoft, issueing statements?
I was all set for getting an X-box for christmas, but frankly your putting me off it, I don't think I'd ever feel comfortable posting in here to talk about the games with you around.
Still, at least I can talk to Gamezfreak and such on MSN about them.
And don't bother replying, I don't care what you think about this, but quite frankly I'm going to ignore anything you say. I don't have to give my reasons, but I'd ask that you just let it drop.
> I don't do abusive replies like Savatt.
I haven't laughed so loud in ages - especially over a forum post. I think plenty will back me up in saying your probably one of the most hostile Ninties there are on this site.
Whenever I read a post where someone has made a point of what a console like the X-Box can do that they see as better than the GC equivelent, one of the first posters to rip into them and stamp on their opinion is you.
I remember going into the Ninty forum around what - a month ago ? I think Dringo had posted about Nintendo's online plans and how they would basically kick Microsoft's aside. I wrote a reply saying that what had been said was pretty bold and went onto to talk about what X-Box Live brings and it wasn't long before you got stuck in with your whining and insults.
You are far from being the forum's equivelent of Mother Teresa. Not to mention your classic little outburst in here that left plenty wondering how you didn't end up banned.
As for me being a fanboy, as I stated elsewhere (maybe even in this post - can't remember), I defend the X-Box because as I see it, it deserves to be defended as its an excellent console. Unfortunatly because there are a number of posters that seem to desperately slate the X-Box for no real reason, I end up defending it a lot.
I owned a PS2 before my X-Box and I'm considering maybe buying another one. I bought and traded in the GC because it didn't offer me the games I wanted to play. The only games I really wanted on the console were F-Zero and most of all, a sequel to Conker's BFD. Now that Rare are with Microsoft, that really leaves one game I'd want on the GC and thats not enough for me to want to buy it again.
At the end of the day, when it comes to chatting with me on here, you're treated as you treat me. You want to mouth off with abuse, I'll happily give it back, it really doesn't bother me.
I get on with people on here, I occasionally have disagreements with Maverick but I think we get on ok. I have a laugh with Cyclone when we post in the same topics and like anyone else, I'll stick to my guns when it comes to my opinion.
Fact is, in recent months you've had the tendancy of writing a reply to my topics which tend to contain abuse or smart ar5e comments - basically attacking me and I'm sure other posters have been getting this treatment too. Where there maybe a difference between me and these possible others though is that I'll give it right back to you.
Don't like my attitude towards you ? Its called giving a bit of respect and the door swings both ways.
