Umm.. I don't know... do you get decent quality mics that you plug into computers? Or do you need something more professional?
I know you don't know Lipe :p
That was mainly directed at VM

ah right, if you've only played one type then it makes more sense. i've owned loads of guitars in all kinds of shapes with all kinds of setups on them and i really notice differences between instruments.

ah right, i wasn't sure. Acoustics, as you say, generally have wider necks, but if you look at les paul style guitars or the super-strats then you'll find that there are a variety of neck profiles. a wide C profile would probably suit you quite nicely if you've larger fingers. the profiles are failry easy to guage, the thicker it is, the more like a C it will look like, and things like jacksons that are built for shredding will have thinner D profiles to aid speed playing. so basically (because i've not explianed that very well), if the neck fills your hand then it's a thicker profile and if you find that there's air between your fretting hand and the back of the neck, it's probably thinner.
hope that's of some help!

That's exactly the reason I was thinking about getting an even thicker non-hybrid set next, but I like these strings so much, I don't want to booger it up.

Yes. It would be an oversight to neglect to mention the pickups, but I've honestly said that I can hardly tell between weight and sound and I've only ever played loads of different Strats. (Even though I'd prefer to get a Les Paul or Gibson.)
As for a wider neck- where could I get one? I've honestly never thought they existed. I've never seen them. Like I said I like playing acoustics, they have the wider neck.
Bob- as for the amps. I can tell you I was supremely suprised too. It's great though, my friends are all jelous and love to play on mine. The bassy stuff is sublime.
