"I Want Battle Royale and Memento Now!"

I was just reading various reviews of Battle Royale (thanks to Goatboy for the detailed review) after seeing it appear on my stats page, and all I can say is that I want to see this film badly! I'm not sure if I want to shell out the £19.99 for it yet, so I'll try and rent it this coming Saturday from my local rental shop and see what it's like. Firstly: I'd like some opinions on the film, and whether it's worth the money or not? It sounds like a damn good film, with the most original storyline I've ever heard of!

Thanks to Allardini, I should be renting Memento out with it, but is Memento any good? I just want to be sure, as these both sound like quality films, and I wouldn't want to miss out on two great films in hesitating in buying them.

But you're a total hypocrit, and I find your opinions totally biased.

I got Battle Royale today. I'm scared that it's going to turn into one of those cool films that everyone feels alternative for watching.

Guess I'm one of them. Ho hum.

Memento rules.

One of my fave films ever.

Battle Royale it so good people kill wiv gun and bomb and stick it really good make me want to kill everything

Battle Royale rules.

Memento...I thought it was alright, the final 15 mins ruined it for me.
Turned it from a classy gimmicky whodunnit into "A surprise TWIST!" "And another SURPRISE TWIST!" "And one more SURPRISE TWIST!"

Just my opinion

Memento rules! It's one of the best films ever, no question. I just got it for GAD, but haven't seen it yet.

There's strong performances from all. But then theres only about 5 people in it.

Its unusual in many ways. Not like a conventional film.

I would say you might feel a bit weirdly hollow after it, but I just watched Dancer in the Dark last night and compared to how I felt after that, Memento seems like a joyous walk in the park.
