Thanks to Allardini, I should be renting Memento out with it, but is Memento any good? I just want to be sure, as these both sound like quality films, and I wouldn't want to miss out on two great films in hesitating in buying them.
Thanks in advance.
Shaun.
Stryke is sixteen/seventeen and he has seen Battle Royale - are you going to shun him? I doubt it.
--
Noone would ever shun me. Because I rule. And I have a beard.
Anyway, you wouldn't understand Battle Royale..
..because it's in Japanese. I didn't understand it at first, then I turned subtitle on and it ruled. I liked the crazy guy who ran about.
Crazy Guy: Sneh.
Gorup of Teens: You are Kitanos man!
Crazy Guy: Menh.
Teens: What?
BANGBANGBANGBANG
Crazy Guy: Heh.
This is why it rules.
It turns from a blood and gutsy cool movie, into a thoughtful disturbing view on society. That's why.

I was stating a fact not giving my opinion.
It's a fact that the BBFC think that 13 year old's shouldn't be watching "violent" films, but that's really their sentiments - and there are two sides to every argument. Tiltawhirl seems to try and judge me, by telling me to come back in a few years, and that's his opinion on the rating system. Being the scoundrel that you are, you would agree with him, just to spite me. Without trying to point a finger at him - Stryke is sixteen/seventeen and he has seen Battle Royale - are you going to shun him? I doubt it.
"Why must you copy and paste everything!?
That's so annoying."
I quoted (not copy and pasted) to show who I was talking to, as we have had about ten different posters in the topic. If you don't like it, report me, and I'm sure that justice (or a biased injustice) will be served.
So fun you, and anyone else that tries to judge me. I've changed, whether you like it or not. Now, I'm going to go and make a worthwhile reply to some INTELLIGENT posts.

As for Memento, im going round a friends to go see it later on this week, should be good.
"The original or the remake"
"And which version have you seen?"
"The original"
"And how did that one go?"
"Er..."
"Now go away you big retard"

Him: Do you have Battle Royale?
Me: Yes
Him: Is it the remake or the original?
Me: Um.. it's a brand new film
Him: Yes, but is it the remake or the original?
Me: It's a Japanese film released this year about schoolchildren going to an island and having to kill each other to survive
Him: yeah I know, but is it the (with exaggerated slowness) the remake or the original?
Me: (gives up) Yes, it's the remake, there you go.
Him: blah blah blah blah blah what do you know?
Unless I'm completely mistaken then there is only one Battle Royale and it's about children killing each other in Japan. Apart from that everything else went fine. I even managed to convince someone to watch 'O brother Where art Thou?' and another to watch 'Sexy Beast'. A satisfying day.
