"I Want Battle Royale and Memento Now!"

I was just reading various reviews of Battle Royale (thanks to Goatboy for the detailed review) after seeing it appear on my stats page, and all I can say is that I want to see this film badly! I'm not sure if I want to shell out the £19.99 for it yet, so I'll try and rent it this coming Saturday from my local rental shop and see what it's like. Firstly: I'd like some opinions on the film, and whether it's worth the money or not? It sounds like a damn good film, with the most original storyline I've ever heard of!

Thanks to Allardini, I should be renting Memento out with it, but is Memento any good? I just want to be sure, as these both sound like quality films, and I wouldn't want to miss out on two great films in hesitating in buying them.

I'm seriously getting addicted to the Battle Royale trailer - I've watched it at least 50 or 60 times, and I love it! The classical music is interwoven with the mood so brilliantly.

I'll have a look at some reviews of that, may add it to my "to watch" list, with Battle Royale and Memento.

Just watched Withnail and I again. And neither of these films measures up to it.

Meh, I stopped that phase many, many years ago, my friend. I've looked at the trailer and some pictures for BR, and all I can say it that the film looks funning brilliant. I'm gonna go down to my rental shop this weekend and see if they have it. Being one who has been bullied, like a lot of the kids in these film, I think I can understand it to a certain extent. Say that I can't understand it all you like, but I beg to differ.

13 year olds should not be watching Battle Royal, i'm 19 i've seen more gory films than you can shake a severed limb at, but this film still managed to shock the hell out of me. It's not just the violence it's the whole subject matter.

Funnin good film though, but Shaneo I would advise you to stick to your Tellytots and Disney films, maybe think about watching it when your older and have stopped playing with Duplo.

Oh yeah, the harsh insight into Japanese social status and yadda yadda. That was shocking true.

But they shot each other, and there was blood. And stuff. And heads with grenades in their mouths.

I doubt anyone sees it for a harsh insight all the time, and sees it as a great violent movie some of the time to.

My comments were directed at Shaneo, anyway.
