2. We might consider an interim status between the current range and banned. I favour "learner" for the status tag and pink for the name colour to warn of danger. We could call them "pinkies".
Changes would appear to be necessary to improve the written content.

I wont vote any notables.
I did nothing to become a Notable, others chose that for me because they felt I offered something that made this place interesting.
I wont single anybody out as "not worthy" as I didnt vote for them to get in.
Do what the hell you people want, this is starting to get a tad too serious and official for a place I post on when I'm at work.
But then I can't think of a better one, so...
Mook Status.
I think it was mentioned earlier that only notables vote off notables. That'd be interesting.

I've got no problems with this, personally. But why are some people suggesting that the votes be more often? How many notables are there at the moment? 15. This seems a bit high to me. I think, personally, that there should be 10.
Don't get rid of 5 in one go though. Just next time an election comes along, make 1 new notable, and get rid of two of the current ones. Do that 5 times and there you go.
Failing that, put all notables back to regular status. Give all regulars 5 votes, and the top ten posters are made notable, then rotate that by losing one for each new one that gets elected. Or something.

Good move, but I don't think the name "Learner" is a good one. Perhaps it could be "Crap", as that would explain why they have that status, as well as informing everyone that they only have one chance left.
:)
My suggestion is leave them as the status they are, but change their name to pink and change their tagline to "under probation", which they would not be able to change.
