"Forthcoming changes to the forums"

1. We might consider booting the odd Notable off the Notable list. But I'm not sure if it would be by democratic vote, as that would be very catty. A bit like Big Brother.

2. We might consider an interim status between the current range and banned. I favour "learner" for the status tag and pink for the name colour to warn of danger. We could call them "pinkies".

Changes would appear to be necessary to improve the written content.

It's certainly an idea - because after all, under the current scheme, you're eventually going to have a stack of Notables.

The thing is - several of the Notables probably wouldn't care anyway. When you consider that most Notables were supposedly voted in for their over-all contribution to the forums, they seem to get a lot of unwarranted flak from some quarters for 'looking down' on others.

Many regulars no that this is not the case, and that few if any Notable's have changed their attitude or posting style after being elected. But some of the newer users will be in for a nasty shock when they get roasted just the same by an ex-Notable!

I just say what has to be said, I do it on my own time which seems to be quit fast to some non-spamming n00b (is there one out there? Please no!).

Also I only spent about 4 months on here out of the 9 or so months that I've been registered here.

Plus I'm now on my way to getting on the top 100 posters of all time after about 700 more posts, I have over 2000 now;

That’s not exactly true, FOG chat is just a forum i avoid like the plague.

As for the supposed changes, im not exactly saying i want to relinquish my status, but i have nothing against the changes.

Might come as a good thing, for starters it would get 90% of you moaners off my back for a change if i was changed back to a Reg.

Voting out notables introduces a horrible infighting element to the forum. If I were a notable, and there was a "worst notable" vote between notables, I would be organising a boycott.
