According to IGN.

"Earlier today in a Dow Jones release, THQ's president and CEO Brian Farrell said that he thinks that Microsoft is "gaining traction" with sales of its Xbox console. He also noted that Nintendo's next-generation hardware seems to be in a popularity slump.
"I think we'll hear better Xbox hardware sales, while GameCube is still struggling," Farrell said.

Farrell's comments are the latest in a stream of complaints from publishers dissatisfied with GameCube's current selling rate in the market and adds to growing industry support for Microsoft's year-old console.

Nintendo of America is betting on a strong showing of its big holiday title Metroid Prime, a first-person action-adventure set in a sci-fi backdrop, coupled with its new Platinum GameCube, to drive sales of hardware and software through the fourth quarter. Meanwhile Xbox is banking on the success of Xbox Live and a plump 2003 lineup which includes Halo 2, Fable, and Midtown Madness 3.

More as it becomes available."

And people still think X-Box is dying.

That's insane, you're basically paying £20 for the console.

The X-box is picking up in sales in the shop I work at - especially cos they're doing the four game pack (Halo, Splinter cell, Sega GT 2002 and Jet Set Radio Future) for £179.99

No they're not that's just what the dude said in his article thing. Metroid is their main game this Xmas but there's tons of others that I can't be bothered to get into, listing them would be very boring.

Actually yes so, Nintendo still have a bit over a 1.5 million unit lead over Xbox.

This may all change over Xmas though, we'll have to wait and see.

Well duh. Of course X-Box is selling! It's been released longer, and has been subject to uber price cuts and bundles! And yet, the GameCube still beats it..

Its not strange at all, infact I write 'pointless topic' in quite a few topics in the Nintendo forum and all the other forums.

Its pointless, because gaming is gaming. Enjoy the bloody games and lets just stop quoting companies admissions to the press, which are mostly bullcrap.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
